Warner Bros. Pictures reveals their next DC Comics film, 'Suicide Squad' which will be directed by David Ayer, responsible for major motion pictures such as 'The Fast and the Furious'.
Confirmed cast members for the movie include - Will Smith who will play Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop) as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney (Divergent) as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne (Anna Karenina) as Enchantress, and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn. Oscar-award winner Jared Leto will the challenging role of the Joker.
Other casts include Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El DIablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. Mystery roles were rumored for Scott Eastwood, Ike Barinholtz, Raymond Olubowale, Alex Meraz, Jim Parrack, and Common.
One of their plot features was sighted downtown Toronto - the staging of a huge plane crash, which has caused a stir on social media - the prop aircraft and shrapnel scattered across Yonge Street. The crash is the second indicator for the movie's content, drawing more anticipation from fans.
The first one was actually a leaked footage (pulled off from YouTube by WB) of Jared Leto dressed as 'the Joker' showing him slapping - and then kissing - Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.
According to IMBD, based on the original plot for the comics, 'Suicide Squad's' centers on a secret government agency, which recruits the mentioned imprisoned super villains in order to execute a dangerous black-ops mission in exchange for clemency. The movie is said to fill in some plot holes in the DC comics Universe.
Another unconfirmed rumor is that Ben Affleck was recently seen at the 'Suicide Squad' set. Could this mean an appearance for Batman in the movie? The film will shoot until September. WB studio scheduled the upcoming film for release on August 5, 2016.
