'God of War 4' release date to be announced next month? Teaser and gameplay to be released on this year's E3

By

Rumors have been spreading around that the fourth installment of the God of War franchise will be announced on E3 this year, which will happen this June. While Sony has confirmed that the game is already under development, fans around the world are very excited for its official release. The release window for the game, which IGN mentioned to be more of a reboot or a sequel, is in the early period of 2016 to the latest of 2017, fans are just asking when exactly.

This of course, we shall know next month, when the announcement of the release is done. Since reports say that Sony's Santa Monica Studios will unveil major announcements about the gaming title's sequel during the said event. The studio's creative director Cory Barlog said that there will be a lot of surprises to come.

God of War: Ascension, on the other hand, is reported to be on its way to PS4. It's a remastered 1080p, 60fs native version of the latest game that will be available for digital download on PlayStation Store.

Theories revolving around the upcoming game states that Kratos will no longer be in it, as he dies under the mighty hands of Thor, which Sta. Monica somehow confirmed in a tweet. Though, the question goes of who will replace him, and if he reappears, will he be a villain who's so difficult to defeat.

God of War was released last March 2005. The second one was released in 2007 of the same month. The third one was released three years later. And God of War: Ascension was released on 2013. This goes to prove that the intervals for such games' releases are in between two/three years, all in the same month. So it could be that the fourth of the God of War will be in March 2016.

We can expect a teaser/trailer or even gameplay during E3 2015 this June. Though, the excitement goes on the official release of the game.
