Android 5.0.2 updates for the Xperia Z series including Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, and Moto G 2013 are rolling out today. For Asus ZenFone4, ZenFone5, ZenFone6, ZenFone5 LTE, and PadFoneS owners, the company just postponed its Lollipop upgrade.

Android 5.0.2 updates for Xperia ZL and Xperia Tablet Z

The Lollipop upgrade for the mentioned Xperia mobile devices has the build version 10.6.A.0.454, and is going to bring various changes such as:

  • Sony's latest software experience
  • A fresh look and feel, which is based Google Material Design
  • Intelligent lock screen notification and customizable settings.
  • Multi-user profiles and guest mode
  • Storage optimization; can move apps to SD card

Device owners can check the availability the Android 5.0.2 update by going to Settings>About phone>Software updates>System updates. A Wi-Fi connection is recommended to avoid traffic data.

Android 5.0.2 updates for Moto G 2013

Android 5.0.2 over-the-air (OTA) updates are also available for Moto G XT1032 (1st Gen), also called Moto G 2013.

It is noted that the 5.0.2 update is likely being released in phases, and it may not be available for OTA download in some places. However, Moto G 2013 users can check for the update by going to Settings>Software update. Another option is to install the the Lollipop upgrade manually.

Android 5.0.2 update report for ZenFone4, ZenFone5, ZenFone6, ZenFone5 LTE, and PadFoneS

For Asus ZenFone4, ZenFone5, ZenFone6, ZenFone5 LTE, and PadFoneS who are waiting for the Android 5.0.2 update, the company just postponed its supposed rollout today.

A post in the Asus Zen Talk forum said, "Asus was scheduled to provide ZenFone4, ZenFone5, ZenFone6, ZenFone5 LTE and PadFoneS with Android L upgrade in the mid of May. However, ASUS team has found issues in the system during google verification. We have decided to postpone the Android L upgrade in order to provide improved user experience after upgrading to Android L. Our RD team is currently working on the related issues. We will release Android L update as soon as possible once these issues have been sorted out."

Since there is no specific date mentioned, Asus device owners need to wait a little bit longer.
