Kong: Skull Island is probably one of the most unexpected sequel to come around but fans better get ready as the second installment of the international hit King Kong 1 is finally confirmed. The production team is almost complete as the movie starts to create noise especially with its star-studded casts.
The film's shooting location is said to take place in Detroit around 1971, with the fictional Skull Island taking place off the coast of Sumatra. In addition J.K Simmons who is best known for his role J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man trilogy was rumored to be casted for the movie, although still not confirmed.Simmons is showing great interest to the movie especially since it'll be shoot in Detroit, his hometown.
Another great news for the fans of the movie is that Tom Hiddlestone who is best known for his role as Loki in Marvels Thor chronicles is confirmed to participate for the upcoming movie, though his role is still unconfirmed.
Latest update regarding the film wrote the following as the synopsis of the upcoming film. "25 years after King Kong's death in New York, Carl Denham's son runs an expedition to Skull Island and tries to solve the decade long mystery.
Also, it has been recently revealed that the upcoming film will have Jordan Vogt-Roberts as its director, Vogt-Roberts is best known for his multi awarded debut film The Kings of Summer (2013). On the other hand,Max Borenstein who is best known for writing Godzilla (2014) and John Gatis, who's know for his works such in Coach Carter, Real Steel and Flight were tasked to write the script of the upcoming film.
The film is the sequel to the 2005 film King Kong which revolves around the story of an ambitious filmmaker Carl Denham who persuaded his cast and hired a ship crew to travel to the infamous Skull Island. There they meet the giant Kong whom they had captured and brought to New York only leading to disastrous results.
Kong: Skull Island according to reports will be shown on March 10, 2017.
