The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been successfully released last week but the promised patch on consoles that comes with various technical improvements and a stable frame rate has been delayed for this week.
"Not this week. Sorry," said CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot on Twitter responding to a fan who asked about when the patch would arrive.
The frame rate on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt PS4 and Xbox One needs improvement while the game is not yet expected to be running on 60fps prior to the patch, it seems that it can't even maintain a stable 30fps. It is promised, however, that improved frame rate will arrive soon.
"We're working on addressing what we can. We collect everything the community is reporting," Momot said, who also promised that the crashing and performance issues will be addressed soon.
Reports said that neither console can run the game smoothly but the CD Projekt Red is well known for delivering heavy patches months after their games' initial release. Critics even say that fans should not expect a 60fps update and it will be realistic to see a patch that improves performance closer to a solid 30fps.
If you recall, Momot earlier assured that frame rate have been addressed and said that it "will be better once we officially launch the game," but from what we have seen so far the developer has failed to deliver the promised date, but fans are patient and expecting the patch soon.PC fans have already got their hands on the latest update, however.
The patch 1.03 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt offers overall stability improvements, better hair and foliage, blood particles will appear better when killing enemies in the water, and a whole lot of other improvements on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4. Released on May 19, the game was developed with the new REDengine 3 technology, also built by CD Projekt RED that is designed exclusively for developing 64-bit platforms.
