The iOS 8 jailbreak may soon be the end of the line for Apple OS jailbreakers if reports of the new "rootless" iOS 9 turn out to be correct.
The new Apple device operating system is expected to come out during the World Wide Developers Conference 2015 scheduled in June. Reports say Apple is exerting more efforts to secure the mobile operating system against jailbreaks using a technology called "Rootless." The feature is said to make it nearly impossible for even administrators to access certain protected files and fail systems for Apple devices such as the iPad, iPhone, Mac, or even the iWatch. "Rootless" fixes vulnerabilities in iOS that have allowed enthusiasts to develop ways to jailbreak their iPads or IPhones.
The last successful jailbreak was for iOS 8 but it has since been patched up. Efforts to jailbreak the iOS 8.2 and 8.3 have not been as successful. However there are reports actual jailbreaks for these Apple OS versions have actually been done but not released in the face of patches available on the recently issued iOS 8.4 betas.
It appears now that Apple fans should not be holding their collective breaths for the next successful iOS jailbreak for their devices. Apple watchers would do well by instead making the most of currently available tweaks for iOS 8 gadgets.
Some of the more recently shortlisted Cydia free top tweaks for iOS 8 jailbroken devices include the HUDTransparent8, a free download that lets the user enjoy full-screen HD videos without the background going blurry as the HUD volume is adjusted.
NoRingerHUD is a similar tweak that disables the ringer HUD from popping up when the volume is adjusted.
Another free tweak is the NoScrollWhenNewMessage which disables the automatic scrolling down to the new message that just came in if the user is still going through older unread messages.
LockPredict prevents the predictive bar from minimising.
BrighterLSMedia allows user to brighten the skin tone of song labels or album on the lock screen.
Finally, the TokeTime provides free Snoop Dogg pictures on the home screen at regular intervals.
More iOS 8 Jailbreak tweaks have been released on Big Boss Repo for both free and paid downloads.
