We all know her, there's no denying in that, this country-singer-turned-pop-star Taylor Swift., commonly known as "TayTay", who's keeping her fame in the music industry since the last decade. And while her fame is on the verge of its exceeding height, because believe it or not, there's no stopping her, it might be good to count all the reasons why she isn't the girl we should vow to adore.
Here's the list of why we all need to stop going crazy over her.
1. She doesn't have enough awards to show she's musically talented
Since the beginning of her early careers during 2004 to 2008, Taylor Swift's first album somehow managed to take the fifth place of the Billboards 200, and have been placed first on the Top Country Albums chart. After many years of continuing grace, she has reached about 141 awards, and 167 nominations, including the Grammys, American Music Awards, Country Music Awards, MTV, and many else. Even at age nineteen, she had been awarded the Entertainer of the Year, making her the youngest to receive such honorary commendation.
2. Her choices of men shows she has no taste
Taylor Swift has been known for having a long list of boyfriends and men whom she has dated with in the past, both famous and not, which all ended up sadly tragic. There's of course 1D member Harry Styles, hunk Zac Efron, Academy Award best actor Eddie Redmayne, Jake Gyllenhaal, Cory Monteith, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and the one that's quite really heartbearking, Lucas Till, whom she had a crush with since their partnership for the music video of "You Belong With Me" but only had a 'friendly kind of love' for her. Couldn't she find anyone more eligible? Well, she currently has Calvin Harris, and he's quite a genteleman!
3. She has no care for Feminism
In the #HeforShe campaign with Emma Watson in supporting for feminism, Taylor Swift was loud about her response. And she said that nobody had made a better speech or had become a better role model than Emma. Her applause to Emma's acts was clear manifestation of her support for people's rights.
4. She has no care about the world
When talking about openness to the concerns of the world, Taylor Swift always had actions. Even at a young age, she had donated about $100,000 to the Red Cross in 2008, $500,000 to Nashville flood relief in 2010, $10,000 to the Horace Mann School for the Deaf in 2012, and $4 million to an education center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. She also wrote a song in a memory of a fan who died from cancer, and donated all the proceeds to many cancer-fighting foundations.
5. She doesn't connect to her fans
Before her latest album's release, she made a party at her own house, inviting numerous fans to go listen to her songs. She sends them handcrafted gifts and pizzas. Her fans even have their own name "Swifties". Taylor is also known to surprising fans during weddings and special events.
6. She isn't cool enough to sing with Prince William and Jon Bon Jovi
In a fundraising event that supports homeless young people in London, the White Gala in Kensington Palace, Taylor Swift sang the song "Livin' on a Prayer" with Jon Bon Jovi himself, and the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William too! They even threw a high five!
7. She isn't cool enough to be friends with Ed Sheeran
We all love Ed, and we equally love his songs. Especially the world's national anthem for love "Thinking Out Loud". And Ed and Taylor have been known friends since the start of their careers, a partner for guitars and cats.
8. She is not a cat-lover
She has two cats, Olivia Benson (after Olivia Benson from Law and Order) and Meredith Grey (after Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy). Aside from Taylor's Instagram fame, these cats also have their share on the spotlight. They even have over 11, 000 followers.
9. She doesn't like to dance
We all agree to this, Taylor Swift is a terrible dancer. But that doesn't mean that she has to stop. It only shows how completely low her amount of self-consciousness is. Her infamous dance moves in her music video for "Shake it Off" which clearly made a huge dancing trend in the world, remains a testimony to her dancing "skills". She even does finger tutting!
10. Her music is limited
Her career began with country music. But later on it went to pop. Her latest album "1989" is a complete opposite on her first album "Taylor Swift". But it's still rocking the charts!
11. She doesn't have many friends
Speaking of friends, Taylor Swift has an army of models, singers, celebrities alike who are just very close to her. Check out her new music video "Bad Blood" and count all the cameos of every Victoria's Secret angels in there.
12. She isn't fun to be with
Taylor Swift is also very known at poking fun at herself. While fans are making memes of her in every enjoyable style, she just gets to jump along with the jokes. She just completely shakes anything off!
13. She isn't a powerful woman, she isn't even pretty
Swift has been on several magazine covers now, and there's no denying her beauty. Even though she changed her style from the perfectly curly hair, shy girly type, to short layered length, vengeful woman, she keeps on making herself look stunning all over. Her timeles beauty exudes everywhere. She has also become a cover on a Time magazine issue. She was even awarded Woman of the Year by Elle magazine.
