After the April Fools' prank Ryan Reynolds and 20th Century Fox pulled off last month (which made everyone go ballistic) regarding its PG-13 rating, we now all know that Deadpool will definitely be an R-rated film (to all the fan's relief); a film not made to watch by kids.
Yet despite that, Reynolds can't help but make the wish of a young boy Tony Acevedo come true.
Tony isn't some super rich kid who gets what he wants when he wants it. He is a young, comic-loving boy who, unfortunately, has a Hodgkin's Disease. It is a type of lymphoma.
When asked why he loves Deadpool, Tony said, "Deadpool never dies and everything he touches has magical powers".
With the help of Make-A-Wish Foundation, Tony's wish to see Deadpool in real life was granted. Not only that, he also got to hang out in the set of Deadpool in Vancouver and got to wear the antihero's famous mask and gloves. Talk about lucky!
Reynolds posted the photo of the sweet and endearing moment in his Instagram with the caption:
"Tony Acevedo asked Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool. I wasn't expecting him to sneak the mask, put on the gloves, smile... and then beat Deadpool about the face, arms and jugular with blazing speed. Tony's next fight is with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease best be wearing its brown pants. Huge thanks to @makeawishamerica".
Deadpool has been pretty much active in Instagram, taking his time to update the fans of the upcoming X-Men spinoff. He posts a lot of photos on set and other Deadpool related photos. Deadpool fans should really follow him: @vancityreynolds
Deadpool is an antihero who first appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine last 2009. His name is Wade Winston Wilson until he adopts to his alter ego, Deadpool, to hunt down the man who experimented on him and made his life miserable.
