'Heroes Reborn' latest addition to its cast is a familiar face. Greg Grunberg is set to reprise his role as Detective Matt Parkman. He will be joining the multi-episode arc of the Heroes spin-off, which is slated for the fall on Thursday nights.
NBC and executive producer Tim Kring are good at keeping things very quiet when it comes to what could be happening on the coming series 'Heroes Reborn'. The biggest thing that is known as is that Zachary Levi ("Chuck") will most likely be the new lead, and that the show looks to be some sort of continuation on the original.
'Heroes Reborn' has a latest addition to its cast member. Greg Grunberg is set to return as Matt Parkman. Parkman was a detective who had the ability to read minds, which as you would expect is a very powerful ability to have within this world.
How Grunberg's character will factor into 'Heroes Reborn' is unknown especially since this new series will be centering on a new set of humans with powers.
From the synopsis below, the 'Heroes Reborn' will be going back to its original premise: "The supernatural phenomenon begins again with a fresh crop of inspiring heroes who take on the ultimate struggle between those with extraordinary abilities and those with nefarious motives to hunt and harness their powers. Epic adventures await these newly empowered allies as they cross paths with some of the original characters unlocking the mysterious fate of the universe and their place within it."
Other returning cast members include Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, Jack Coleman as Noah Bennett and Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian. Set to debut on Thursday nights this Fall, Heroes Reborn is envisioned as a follow up to the original series, though the network has yet to confirm any specific plot details. Tim Kring is back as writer/executive producer on the Universal Television produced series.
