Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 will apparently retain its Season 2 major cast members as lead actor Tom Riley and show creator David S. Goyer disclosed that minimal changes will be effected when the series returns. Starz has not announced a premiere date but an August launch might be in the works if reports are to be believed.
Reports quote Riley who returns to the series as Leonardo Da Vinci as saying, "There won't be any major changes, but I think it will look different... We're still doing the same thing guaranteed."
Season 2 cast members expected to be seen back on the show include English actress Laura Haddock who plays Lucrecia Donati, Blake Ritson in the role of Girolamo Riario, Elliot Cowan as Lorenzo Medici, and Lara Pulver as Clarice Orsini.
Da Vinci's Demons was last seen on television last May 31st, 2014 at the conclusion of Season 2. Since then showrunner John Shiban has taken over, photos from the filming have been leaked, and the series official social media have posted teases. Apart from these and a storyline setting not much else has been officially released about the new season.
Even a recent tweeter Q&A with Riley had the actor shutting down any Da Vinci-related questions with the tweet, "First answer, to pretty much everyone - I have NO IDEA about season 3. Apart from that, I'm open."
The seeming silence on substantial information and the release of only minor teases are apparently not enough to whet the appetite of fans that have shown their growing impatience on the social media sites of Da Vinci's Demons. Facebook posts and tweets about the show generally complain about the silence about a Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 premiere.
Goyer did however announce earlier on his personal website that the crew was already filming the season 3 climax and the production is already in editing. Goyer also teased about new characters on the series along with the return of old characters who are supposed to be already dead.
Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 will be back on Starz 2015, with ReturnDates.com posting August 30 as the premiere date.
