Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 photos leaked by series insiders reveal a new cast of characters for the fantasy series when it returns to the small screen.
Writer David S. Goyer released news on the series from his website and posted never-before-seen photos of scenes filmed at Margam Park revealing their new mystery cast along with the news they are shooting additional scenes for the season climax.
The series insider leaked on location photos of Leo, Zo, Nicco, one of Riario (Blake), a mystery cast member played by Sabrina Bartlett, and another new mystery cast member played by Paul Freeman.
Goyer also says the production is heading back to London for more editing and visual effects work. "We've got quite a few surprises up. New characters. Saying goodbye to a few series regulars (place your bets now). And the unexpected return of a few persons that, well... seemed to be dead. It's pretty damn epic," writes Goyer.
Spoiler TV earlier released promotional photos for the Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 which gave a sneak preview on what the new season would look like.
The new season will be about Leonardo Da Vinci's struggles at the time of the clash of the Ottoman Empire in Italy, according to Crossmap. The fantasy series lifts from historical facts in its retelling of the life of the legendary artist and visionary and fellow artists who pursue art despite financial and political obstacles.
Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 will have new executive producer John Shiban at the helm. Shiban has said the new season of Da Vinci's Demons will revolve more around the characters and can be understandable to new viewers without need of having watched the earlier seasons.
Goyer has expressed his excitement for the new series with Shibans as the showrunner and is quoted by Crossmap as saying, "I've been a fan of John's work for some time and I'm excited to add his voice to the mix."
Da Vinci's Demons is expected to premiere on June 12 in Starz.
