Last Wednesday, May 27, Bandai Namco Games finally revealed the release date for the launch of the enhanced Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for the PlayStation 4 which will be out this summer and Sword Art Online: Lost Song which will be released this fall.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is an RPG game based on the first arc of Sword Art Online which is a Japanese novel series. It also contains an original story since it is set in an alternate storyline. In the game, players control Kirito who is the main character of the series. Players will have to clear several dungeons in the game and can recruit some of the characters in order to make progress easier. The game was previously released for the PS Vita but the new release for the PS4 will improve the graphics of the game as well as add some more game content. Players with save data from the PS Vita will be able to transfer some of their items and this puts them at a good start. The game will be available for download on PSN this summer.
Meanwhile, Sword Art Online: Lost Song is the next game that follows Hollow Fragment. It is based on the Fairy Dance arc of the story and it also has its own unique story just like its predecessor since it is also set in the same timeline and follows the previous events in Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. It is also an RPG that was originally released for the PlayStation 3 but now it will be made available for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita as well. The game will also make some changes to the original release and it mostly is on the improvement of the graphics. The game is scheduled to launch at retail stores this fall.
