Lindsay's move in the last episode of Chicago PD shocks many fans. Those who watched the season finale couldn't move on just yet. The speculations of what's to come for the next season are steaming all over the internet.
Chicago PD has found its own ardent followers. No wonder the series was given a second shot for season 2. Now that the recent season has been concluded with its final episode, the viewers of the show continues to talk and discuss about some noteworthy scenes and turn of events. Indeed, the approach of this TV series about cops and its intelligent units who are aggressively chasing the perpetrators of the city's major street offenses caught the interests of the viewers. Now, they are ready for season 3.
Fans were exhilarated with the heart-stopping episode of Chicago PD. Extracting a cop from a corrupt unit is nerve-wracking in the sense that you defy your own kind. It is like removing the skeleton in your closet or confronting your own devil or monster. The death of a relevant character could shutter a loved one even in reality, so seeing Erin being derailed by the loss is reasonable.
Furthermore, various talks about Erin are surfacing in the media board as the show comes to an end for Chicago PD Season 2. In fact, many wonder if she really quits her job and now would probably live a lowly life like her mom, Bunny. Again, personal struggles are real and common issues in life, perhaps there are a lot of women (and men too) who could relate to Detective Lindsay as she wrestles with her personal struggle. However, there are several viewers who are now becoming annoyed with Lindsay's poor choices and making bad decisions one after the other. It is implied that detectives are supposed to be intelligent and are expected to make logical and rational decisions. In the first season, Lindsay portrayed to be one tough cookie in the Intelligence Unit the Voight's group. Now, she seems to be so vulnerable. Because of her story, some might rate the last episode with B-.
Then again the twist of sub-plots can spice up the story and purposely hooks the audience. Lindsay is not a hopeless case. One can always change and reform to be a better version of her ( or him for male characters). Chicago PD Season 3 would probably kick off having Lindsay finding herself at the fork of the road. Hard decision has to be made. But that is yet to be revealed in the pilot episode of season 3 this fall.
