"World of Warcraft" is finally certain that it will really come out on cinemas after dragging so many years in the development stage that fans had started to give up on the movie. The latest update reveals the synopsis of the movie adaptation.
By synopsis, Legendary Pictures means introducing the staff responsible for the production of the movie. The publicized information says that the movie will be a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment's globally-renowned universe.
"Moon" and "Source Code" director Duncan Jones, as the fans have previously known, helmed the movie with the script having been written by Charles Leavitt and Duncan Jones. The production has been made possible with the team-up of Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment, and Atlas Entertainment.
The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Alex Gartner, and Stuart Fenegan. Jillian Share, Brent O'Connor, Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams serve as executive producers. Rob Pardo, Chris Metzen, Nick Carpenter, and Rebecca Steel Roven co-produced the film. "World of Warcraft" or simply "Warcraft" will be officially released by Universal Pictures.
The more juicy message is coming from the director himself who revealed that the movie will be dominated by complicated special effects that is sure to attract fans.
"The special effects will be very impressive though. They are being done by ILM, who are best known for their work on the Star Wars movies," Jones divulges in an interview.
The excited director, who also bore the news to fans about the said movie's change of release date on the summer through his personal twitter account, further named more people who, based on their work results, are doing excellent in their respective jobs.
"Heading up the work are visual effects supervisor Bill Westenhoffer, who won an Oscar for his work with Ang Lee on "Life of Pi," and Jeff White at ILM, who made "The Hulk" such an excellent and believable character in the "Avengers" movie," Jones helpfully added.
Being a fan of "Warcraft" as well, Jones wanted the viewers to see the good on each side of the two groups that are apparently fighting against one another in the movie adaptation.
"I hope that with our film, the audience will get a chance to see past the Horde/Alliance divide and recognize the heroes on both sides!"
Coming out to see the light, "World of Warcraft" starring Dominic Cooper, Travis Fimmel, and Ben Foster will hit cinemas on June 10, 2016.
