It seems like the nerdy gang of Big Bang Theory will go through serious love problems as their relationships seem to be unstable. CBS' comedy series Big Bang Theory's season 8 finale left a lot of questions to its fans as to which relationships will survive and which will not.
Sheldon and Amy's fans are probably saddened by the end of their relationship. The break up was reportedly due to the fact that Amy was tired and frustrated with the lack of growth of her relationship with Sheldon. What makes it even more painful, is the fact that Sheldon was actually planning to propose to her, as he was seen taking out the ring from his drawer, and ended up asking the Gollum figurine near him about what to do with it, after Amy broke up with him.
Steve Mollaro, the show's executive producer spilled that Raj and Emily's relationship might also be tested in Big Bang Theory Season 9, as Raj battles with his problem with communicating with women. Although he has progressed in fighting his dilemma, it seems like he still has a long way to go with it, "Just because he can do it doesn't make him good at it," Mollaro said.
Raj will reportedly face the bigger problem within him, and that might, or might not, mean that he has to break up with Emily. "He's in interesting position for a guy like this. For the most part, when you're lonely, it's easy to have feelings for a person because they like you back. Raj is starting to wrestle with the thought of, maybe that's not the ideally the best situation for him. That's a tough thing for a guy like Raj, to think, 'Wow, am I going to end a relationship and be by myself when I could be with this person who likes me and wants to sleep with me?' It's a big, mature thing to wrap your head around for a character that spent so much time being lonely for so long," Mollaro hinted.
Aside from the two couples, Howard and Beth's relationship also seem to be going on a rocky phase, as they moved to the house of Howard's mom. Mollaro spilled that Howard's memories of the house might affect the relationship.
"This is tough; this is a house that he grew up in with his mom -- who he was very attached to -- and [that] he and Bernadette are trying to make this 'their' home when it feels like his mom's home is an interesting thing. That's one thing that they'll probably be trying to deal with," Mollaro said.
Lastly, questions about whether or not Penny and Leonard will really get married in Vegas or not continue to swirl as they were seen travelling together. The two seem to be having second thoughts about the idea, since infidelity issues arise after Leonard confessed to kissing another woman, during his North Sea research expedition.
The show reportedly still has a long way to go, as its ratings reportedly rised during the seaason 8 finale. Big Bang Theory returns for season 9 this fall.
