Henry Cavill announced just so recently that he declines the lead character in Stratton movie. Thus, this breaking news shocks everyone involved in the production.
It was out in the open why Henry Cavill ditched Stratton Movie five days prior to filming. It was reported that there was some kind of "creative differences" in the script. There was no mention about budget issues and or salaries of the actors involved. In fact, GMF Films as a partner of Promethean Productions (Henry and his brother established their production company) revealed that they provide the budget in this movie project. The pre-production was running smoothly until the last minute. People didn't see this coming because Cavill was open about his desire to do something like British Special Forces or any Special Forces Unit for a longest time. The opportunity came around last September 2014. Two months after it was officially announced that Henry Cavill will be the lead star in the "Stratton" movie. This film is also the first movie that he and his brother will produce.
The production of the movie is supposed to start next Tuesday but there was no formal press release as to when they will commence now that Henry Cavill will not be playing the lead role. Questions like "Who will replace Henry as Stratton?", or "What's going to happen to the project?" flooded media boards and other forums. Guy Collins, co-founder of the GMF Films, has been informing their partners of the drastic changes and regrets to confirm the news to the public. When interviewed by the ScreenDaily, Collins said that they want to keep the production team together and Simon West as director. He added further that their only recourse to this concern is to exercise their rights under their funding agreements and replace Henry, which he admitted to be not an easy task.
As for Henry Cavill's most recent projects, his movie "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." will be released August this year. The production of Batman vs Superman movie is still ongoing. Speaking of the Man of Steel character of Cavill, movie director Zack Snyder has given a fresh and the most unconventional adaption of Clark Kent. This is very intriguing.
Another thing to note is that Warner Bros. have not yet released what the followers has been waiting for- the official plot of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The only official image that has been revealed to the public is Wonder Woman's promotional art image.
Henry Cavill will be seen as Clark Kent or the Man of Steel on March 25, 2016 when Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hit theaters.
