Halo 3: ODST Master Chief Edition Release Date Pushed Back, 343 Industries Responds To Leaked Release Date

343 Industries announced that the date for the availability of the remastered version of Halo 3: ODST for the Xbox One will not be on May 29, 2015 as stated by a removed post on Xbox.com.

Some leaked information from Xbox.com started to spread amongst the fans of the franchise. The leak stated that the release date of the Halo 3: ODST add-on for Halo: The Master Chief Collection would be on May 29, Friday. Neither Microsoft nor 343 Industries confirmed the integrity of the leak but Halo fans got a little too excited with the news. Because of this, Microsoft and 343 Industries had to take action. On May 28, 2015, 343 Industries announced on the official twitter page for Halo that the leaked date was only a placeholder date and they stated that Halo 3: ODST still needed some final testing before being released.

This all started when a product page for Halo 3: ODST was seen on Xbox.com stating that the game would be released on May 29 and it would have an 8.1 GB download size. Word about it started to spread around the community afterwards. Once the information was spread around, the page was taken down from the website. Halo fans from all over felt disappointed when it was announced that Halo 3: ODST for the Xbox One will be delayed. Even if the release date for Halo 3: ODST was still unknown; it would still be worth the wait because of the improved graphics and design. Running in 1080p and 60 frames per second, it truly shows how far videogame graphics has reached.

Halo: 3 ODST for the Xbox One is an improved version of the game for the Xbox 360. It is add-on developed by 343 Industries for the Halo: Master Chief Collection which is also for the Xbox One. The release date of of Halo 3: ODST has not yet been announced as it is currently undergoing testing.
