Halo 3 Xbox One Remastered Edition Releases ODST Campaign; Re-imagined version of Multiplayer Map Relic Added?

By

A remastered version of the Halo 3 : ODST campaign is the latest installment release of Halo :The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One console.

Last April, developer 343 industries announced that an updated version of Halo 3: ODST including a re-imagined version of the Halo 2 multiplayer map Relic will be added to Halo : The Master Chief Collection and will be available for gamers the whole month of May. Free contents were also promised to players who purchased the Master Chief Collection between November 11 and December 19 last year. This was meant to be a form of apology to gamers given the problematic launch of the game last year.

This latest game release is considered one of the game developer's best valued bundles due to the "undeniable great value" offered through the contents packed in Halo 3 : ODST. But despite this, fans are still apprehensive about the game working properly for the console given the nightmare encountered with when the Master Chief Collection went live in 2014.

Still, developer 343 Industries has been putting in great effort to prevent any problems from occurring for this game update. The franchise's development director Frank O'Connor mentioned during an interview with Xbox Achievements that he and the team felt fear that there would be same problems that would occur for this new collection. He even mentioned that the Halo Master Chief Collection served as their black eye and that they won't rest on their laurels nor make it an alibi to hide mistakes made for the game, as they are made responsible in bringing a great game for Halo avid fans.

Though different game developers already worked hand-in-hand for the successful release of Halo 3: ODST, there really isn't any assurance that it would go well with Microsoft's Xbox One console. This is due to the complexity and the footprint of the game design.

The main game developer for the Halo series, Bungie, did comment that they will do their best to produce a great game as well as address problems with the latest Halo 3 : ODST release, despite game fans speculation that it will not work properly with Xbox One.
