After the Dragon Age: Inquisition Jaws of Hakkon gave fans a lengthy additional gameplay for gamers, Bioware is going to release another DLC that will add a lot, lot more. Bioware's Mike Laidlaw said that they are "not finished with the story content for the DA:I yet," hinting of more DLCs for the franchise this year.
Laidlaw responded on Twitter over a fan's inquiry that more story content is to come as they are still no done with the story line of Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, details on the new DLC are still not revealed but many are hoping that it will be continuation of the storyline and not just a side quest one can optionally complete.
The Dragon Age franchise is one of the gems BioWare had produced over the years of experimentation with open-world games. With Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect and their Star Wars franchise, Bioware is a veteran in coming up with engaging and highly immersive storylines. Dragon Age: Inquisition received favorable reviews from various game critics and is hailed the best open-world RPG 2014 had ever produced.
As the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now considered one of the best open-world games of 2015, Bioware needs to up the ante and pump in some creative inspiration to fully juice out every single drop Dragon Age: Inquisition can give. Bioware has currently no other big projects announced for 2015 yet, giving them all the resources they need to pump the action up to its limits in Dragon Age. However, The Witcher 3 is already getting the attention of fans everywhere and Bioware has a ton of upgrades they must do for them to inch close.
However, even though The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt may have outshined Dragon Age: Inquisition this year, Bioware can still catch up. The game has relatively more story content, especially with the quest lines of nine possible companions compared to the Witcher 3 giving it an edge. However, the real task is to blend all of these aspects into DLCs that will really squeeze out the best Dragon Age: Inquisition and Bioware seems to be into something big into this new DLC set for release later this year.
