Fallout 4 could be a cross-gen title if teaser is any indication

By

At long last, official word about Fallout 4 is finally making its way out into the world courtesy of Bethesda, and one interesting tidbit thus far seems to indicate that the newest title will be a cross-gen game.

News of the game possibly becoming a cross-gen title is being gathered from the CSS code of the countdown site devoted to it. According to Gaming Bolt, the CSS code of the site clearly lists all five of both the current and last-gen platforms, meaning people can find the Playstation 3 and 4, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as the PC.

Further evidence which seemingly suggests that Fallout 4 could be a cross-gen title is one of Bethesda's E3 listings saying the gaming company is planning to showcase at least one cross-gen title.

However, a closer look at the CSS code, coming courtesy of Gamezone, is telling a bit of a different story. It appears another segment of the same code is talking about pre-orders, and in this particular section, the only platforms listed include the Playstation, Xbox One, and the PC. If that is the case, then that would mean Fallout 4 would be exclusive to current-gen platforms.

For what it's worth, Bethesda has not given any indication which way it would go when it comes to Fallout 4, so trying to determine whether it will be a cross-gen or current-gen exclusive is at best the product of an educated guess for now.

As for what else is on there on the site containing the controversial CSS code, people will find a countdown timer that fans are now speculating will run out just as soon as Bethesda is set to make its groundbreaking announcement with regards to Fallout 4, according to IGN.

At the very least, fans can take comfort in the fact that the countdown timer legitimately comes from Bethesda, so no more fake announcements about Fallout 4 figure to be on tap.
