Uncharted 4: A Thief's End box art possibly revealed ahead of schedule by Amazon

What looks to be the official box art for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End may have just been revealed by the giant online retailer Amazon.

The cover art is nothing out of the ordinary for most games of the genre, and even more so for the Uncharted franchise. It features none other than Nathan Drake with a stern yet seemingly pained look directed at the ground in front of him. Drake also appears with what appears to be a bloodstain on his shirt and more blood cascading down his right arm. Unsurprisingly, he also clutches a gun in the image which appears to be the title's official box art.

The official box art also shows Drake standing in the middle of a jungle, seemingly caught in a moment of reflection.

Something which could be of interest is the use of shadows in the box art. According to Gamespot, Uncharted 4 has been billed as a darker installment than what fans have come to expect from the franchise. It is also expected to delve deeper into the troubled past of Drake, so there's no telling just how dark that territory could be.

Of course, Sony has yet to actually release the official box art for Uncharted 4, according to Dual Shockers. Given the look of what Amazon has revealed however, it seems like a fair bet to say the image they have chosen will ultimately end up as the official box art.

In related news, fans who have been waiting for any glimpses at the new Uncharted game will get what they want as the title's multiplayer mode is expected to be showcased at this year's E3 conference, according to the International Business Times.

Fans will surely be tuning in just to see that footage, given that delays have led to Uncharted 4 being held up until March 2016 at the earliest.
