Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias is currently undergoing a reconstructive hand surgery after a drone sliced his fingers during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday. Following the said accident, the singer is not coming back until July for his upcoming gig.

Pop singer Enrique Iglesias is under a grave condition after a drone sliced his fingers during a concert in Tijuana on Saturday for his Love and Sex World Tour, reports Rolling Stone. Iglesias, 40, attempted to grab a drone that was filming the show to give fans a point-of-view shot from the stage but has apparently touched the wrong part, causing his several fingers to be sliced open.

The singer was "semi-treated" at the side of the stage to cease the bleeding and was even advised to end the show. However, the "Bailando" singer insisted to continue the concert for an additional 30 minutes with his hand wrapped in a bloody T-shirt. Eventually after the performance, he boarded to Los Angeles to see a specialist for his injured hand.

Iglesias is now undergoing a reconstructive hand surgery, which is worse than expected according to the star's reps, BBC reports. "The damage ended up being a bit worse than initially assessed. He suffered a fracture that needed to be corrected in addition to the reconstructive surgery," said a statement on Iglesias' website. "He will be recovering during the next few weeks, but a full recovery is anticipated."

The said mishap caused some of the 12, 000 fans who attended the concert to leak photos and videos of the singer with a bandaged hand and blooded T-shirt. In a photo, Iglesias even attempted to scrawl a heart on his white shirt using the dripping blood, stated AV Club.

The pop star has been touring since early 2014 to promote his recent album "Sex and Love." He is scheduled to go back to perform in Mexico City on July 3.
