“Paper Towns Movie Update”: Cara Delevingne’s Role Turns Her into the All-American Girl Next Door; Second Trailer Misleading From Novel?

By

The second full-length trailer of Paper Towns has been released and one notable thing that viewers see is the transformation of Cara Delevingne into an the All-American Girl Next Door. But then, People also didn't fail to notice that the movie clip doesn't give much.

Jake Schreier's film, Paper Towns, is an adaptation of the young adult novel of John Green bearing the same title of the movie. The story, though its themes revolve on love and friendship- which too common, is predicted to be a sure hit. This rom-com film though atypical offers significant characters that young people even adults could relate to. The director has casted Cara Delevingne, a British fashion model and singer, for the lead role. She debuts her acting career playing, as seen in the trailer, the mysterious young girl in the movie adaptation of Paper Towns.

Cara Delevingne has been transformed into an All-American Girl Next Door as Margo Roth Spiegelman. Her costumes for the film were specifically designed and created by Mary Claire Hannan, Veteran costume designer. Of course, Hannan also supervises in creating the costumes of other lead star like Nat Wolff.

Speaking of Nat Wolff, from a potential candidate of playing Peter Parker for the Spider-man Reboot movie, he is now playing the lead character of Quentin Jacobsen. As the latest trailer of Paper Towns shows, Quentin is a typical high school teenager who dislikes spontaneity and prefers orderly and stereotyped kind of life. To add spice in his character, Quentin has a crush on Margo, played by Cara Delevingne. Well, what would life be for teenagers if they don't have crushes? But the plot of the movie develops when Margo disappeared and left Quentin and his friends' some clues.

According to the report of ScreenRant, the two trailers released by 20th Century Fox for the film is a little ambiguous, considering the background music of the trailers comes with an upbeat rhythm. However, different opinions always come especially from those who have read the novel. As expected, the adaptation will divide the fans, presuming that the film would not digress from the novel.

Paper Towns will hit theaters on July 24th, 2015
