The filming of the "X-Men" spin-off superhero movie "Deadpool" has just ended as actor Ryan Reynolds recently announced that the production has already wrapped from its location Vancouver. In line of this, Andre Tricoteux was confirmed to be portraying the role Colossus.
The "Deadpool" movie has just finished its filming on May 29 as actor Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter a message announcing the said closure, Entertainment Weekly reports. "#Deadpool has been a privilege to make. And we got to make this film because of you. Gonna eat a samich now. #wrapped," the actor wrote.
The tweet was accompanied by a photo with a wood carving that reads "Deadpool was here" commemorating the end of the shoot. Tim Miller's film commenced its filming on March 23 in Vancouver, Canada. With the said shooting, Reynolds teased fans a numerous stills of him in full suit in the past few months.
In a separate Instagram post, Ryan Reynolds also posted a six-year-old photo of him, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and director Tim Miller, and put a caption thanking the fans on their contribution for the film's progress.
Meanwhile, as the production wrapped, actress Gina Carano, who portrays the mutant Angel Dust, revealed in a Twitter reply that Andre Tricoteux is playing the metal-skinned mutant known as Colossus (Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin), Comic Book states.
"You're the best #Colossus a person could ask for Andre," wrote Carano. Tricoteux was the large man seen filming scenes with Deadpool and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). He is best known for his role in ABC's "Once Upon A Time."
Daniel Cudmore previously played the role in the "X2: X-Men United," "X-Men: The Last Stand," and "X-Men: Days of Future Past." According to Cinema Blend, Cudmore announced that he's not reprising his role as the metal covered-mutant.
