Indubitably, LG G5 is catching a lot of attention lately. The South Korean chaebol LG Electronics is right now at the forefront of smartphone security with its revolutionary iris recognition technology. The greater question is: How much will it be able to capitalize on it? Before Apple, Samsung and everyone else's jump on the bandwagon?
Yes, LG G5 is turning heads - in record numbers. As reported by the Korean electronics giant itself, LG has successfully partnered with a local biometrics specialist 'Irience' to deliver a new milestone in smartphone security: iris recognition. And what's more said technology is in place as the next big killer feature in the Korean tech's newest flagship product, LG G5.
That should give the LG G5 a great push forward upon its introduction. As reported, the product is set to be launched the earliest late this year, Q4 of 2015 or the latest by early next year, Q1 of 2016.
While iris recognition technology will definitely be a big boost for many LG users, a lot of industries which would need such secure measure would benefit from its introduction. Mobile banking - in an era filled with hackers - is one.
Analysts figure such technology is a game-changer and far superior than current offerings. Such distinctive technology would certainly be a strong selling point against current industry leaders Samsung and Apple, both of which are putting their money on fingerprint technology. Needless to say, the feature has the potential of putting LG forward as a market leader. And fast!
And there's more. LG G5 is expected to pack some powerful hardware features. Among them:
- Octa-Core processor clocking at 3GHz+ or 16-core LG Nuclun (P+p)
- 6GB RAM
- 5-inch 4K resolution (flexible)
- HD IPS display
- fast-charging battery with longer life
LG's next flagship product will most likely come with a $900 - $1200 price tag. So far, all in all, LG G5 is looking good.
