Although the upcoming Green Lantern movie is still far from hitting theaters, creators are reportedly starting to pitch ideas about actors who are fit to play Green Lantern, although there have been no confirmed reports yet as to who will play the title role.
Many actors seem to be very interested in playing the Green Lantern in the upcoming film with the same title, and it's no secret that one of them is Tyrese Gibson. Gibson posted several photoshopped photos of him as the DC courageous hero, and rumors intensify after he reportedly went to Warner Bros. for a meeting. What happened in the meeting? Nobody knows. Although his Instagram post of the Green Lantern ring after the meeting was pretty controversial.
Another actor who is rumored to be playing Green Lantern is "Into the Woods" actor, Chris Pine. Rumors about him landing on the role seem to be persistent. This is even supported by an Instagram post of Latino Review's Umberto Gonzales, saying that he heard talks about Pine being pitched to play Hal Jordan for Green Lantern. But in later in the caption of his post, he said that nothing has been confirmed about the movie's cast as of the moment, "HOT RUMOR! #GREENLANTERN UPDATE! No confirmations have been made yet regarding to the cast, director, or plot of the film. But one thing is for sure, the upcoming movie is hoped to acquire higher gross compared to the 2011 Green Lantern movie. Well, Warner Bros. Still has plenty of time to prepare and lay everything down as it will still probably take 3 or 4 years before the shooting for the movie begins. Green Lantern is scheduled to be released on 2020.
