Popular reality singing competition, The Voice will return for its ninth season. Judges Adam Levine and Blake Sheldon confirmed to fill half of the judges' seats on the show, but no confirmation yet as to the identity of the other two judges.
While judges Levine and Sheldon, who has been in the show for all of its 8 past seasons, has been confirmed to return, several reports are spreading as to who the other 2 judges will be. Aside from Levine and Sheldon, the other two seats for the judges has been sat on by different famous artists like Cee Lo Green, Usher, Gwen Steffani, Shakira, Pharrel Williams, and Christina Aguilera. But for season 9, rumors are now swirling about a new famous artist pitched to be a new judge for the show.
Seems like the possibility of getting a new judge for the next season isn't impossible as the show's season 8 finale reported to hit its lowest, ever since the show started in 2011. In order to revive the ratings and popularity of the show, producers are now reportedly considering having pop star Justin Bieber to be one of the judges, to accommodate its younger viewers. But as to who among Aguilera and Williams he will replace, the answer is still unknown.
But, Aguilera, who has been a judge of the show during its 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th season, is hoping to have a new female member to sit with her in the line of four judges. "I would love to see two females on the same season in the red chairs," she said. "We need more female power because, look what I have to put up with all alone, all by myself."
Aguilera's request might, or might not be granted , as talks are spreading about her being disliked by the staffers in the show due to her diva attitude. Aguilera reportedly arrives late in the set, is very demanding, and is not going along well with other coaches. Staff and crew of the show reportedly don't want her to return for another season, and are wishing to have Gwen Steffani or Shakira back instead.
Meanwhile Williams, who was another season 8 judge, seem to be doing well in the show as he reportedly received positive feedbacks from the contestants, and the viewers.
