Filming for David Ayer's Suicide Squad is currently on going, and spoilers and leaked videos and photos seem to show that lots of action can be expected from the film. But it's not just that, as it now seems like Batman will be shaking things up in the film too.
The cast and characters for the film has long been revealed as filming started in April. Everybody now knows that the Suicide Squad will be made up of supervillains, Slipknot (Adam Beech), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevigne), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and El Diablo (Jay Hernandez). Jared Leto will also appear in the film to play as the Joker.
The film's plot reportedly revolves around the supervillains being gathered together by Dr. Amada "The Wall" Waller, to perform black ops missions in exchange of reduced sentences. The missions are said to be very dangerous, and because of that, they are given to the Suicide Squad. To ensure that the members of the squad won't be able to escape, under-the-skin miniature bombs are said to be attached to them, and can easily be detonated if they try to escape. Aside from the mini bombs, military officer Flagg is also said to be the person in charge in overlooking the operations of the Squad.
Pretty interesting huh? Well, it's not the case for Batma (played by Ben Affleck), as he will reportedly appear in the film to show his disapproval of Waller's plan. Reports have it that Bruce Wayne's hero alter ego will be seen waiting inside Waller's office inside the maximum security prison, and tell her about the dangers that might possibly happen if she continues her plan. He said he will held her personality "responsible for any innocents The Joker and the rest of the Suicide Squad kill."
But its not just the missions and Batman's disapproval that will be featured in the film since there will also be flashbacks included in it. A Joker and Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel flashback will also be included in the movie, as a scene where Joker and Dr. Quinzel are seen fighting was seen in one photo that spread around the internet. Will the movie tell how Harley Quinn and Joker's "lovestory" started? Nobody knows as there are no confirmation about it yet, although Ayer did tweet about Quinn's character saying "The case of Harley Quinn: Her madness defines her. Is she mad because of WHO she loves or because she loves him so much? #skwad".
Although there have been lots of set photos and spoilers that spread around the internet, DC fans' questions about the characters and the story are not getting any fewer. Less than a year more of waiting before Suicide Squad hits theaters in August 2016.
