Among the winners of the Critic's Choice Television Awards 2015 held last Sunday were the series Silicon Valley and The Walking Dead which won Best Comedy Series and Best Bingeworthy Show respectively. Meanwhile, Allison Janney, who got the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Award clarified why she kissed host James Corden while receiving the awards.
WINNERS
HBO's Silicon Valley got the top prize for Best Comedy Series during the fifth Critic's Choice TV Awards 2015 held last Sunday. According to E-online, the Best Actor for the same category went to Jeffrey Tambor for Transparent while the Best Actress in a Comedy Series was awarded by Amy Schumer for Inside Amy Schumer. The Best Supporting Actor for a Comedy Series was received by T. J. Miller for Silicon Valley while Allison Janney was Best Supporting Actress for Mom.
For the Drama category, the award wen toThe Americans. The Best Actor for Drama went to Bob Odenkirk for Better Call Saul and Best Actress was Taraji Henson for Empire.
Reality Tea took notice of bigger award-giving bodies' recognition of reality shows. The Critic's Choice TV Awards 2015 Best Reality Series went to Shark Tank while the Best Reality Competition Series was received by Dancing with the Stars. Cat Deeley of So You Think You can Dance was awarded as the Best Reality Series Host.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter reports Allison Janney explained that the kiss she had with James Corden was meant to draw laughter among the audience because she did not prepare a speech. The actress said she had a jet lag and thought the host would understand her gimmick. She also made it clear that Corden was not that special.
