"Captain America: Civil War" spoilers previously confirmed that the entire "Avengers" team will be divided between two leaders, one under Tony Stark and the other one under Steve Rogers. As of late, it is still unclear which among the "Avengers" members will follow Tony or Steve.
To further tease fans with the possible plot of "Captain America: Civil War," actor Sebastian Stan, who plays the role of Bucky Barnes or Winter Soldier, shared a photo that hinted his allegiance with Tony Stark.
In the photo, Stan was photographed with his thick beard and a stern look on his face. He wrote, "#marvel #civilwar #pickyourside."
At first glance, it is quite difficult to tell which side Stan really is on by just looking at the picture. However, a report by Comic Book Movie revealed that Stan originally tagged Robert Downey Jr. on his post. However, the actor later on deleted the tag after he realized that he gave away a major spoiler to his followers.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Downey Jr. teased fans with a photo from the set of "Captain America: Civil War."
He wrote, "We work weekends... for your viewing pleasure... #marvel #civilwar #pickyourside."
"Captain America: Civil War" picks up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off. In the upcoming film, Captain America (Chris Evans) will be leading the Avengers in their quest to protect humanity.
However, after being involved in an international incident, a system will be installed to determine only when the services of the Avengers will be required. The new status quo could potentially destroy the Avengers while they continue to protect the world, no longer as one team.
"Captain America: Civil War" also stars Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, William Hurt, Frank Grillo, Martin Freeman and more. The film is slated for release in the U.S. on May 6, 2016.
