Despite its huge fans' support, 'The Following' Season 4 possible comeback may not be likely to happen. After Fox officially dropped the series and Hulu declined the offer, series creator and fans are still hopeful that Netflix will pick up the show.
Despite the cliffhangers left by Season 3, 'The Following' Season 4 was dropped by the Fox. This decision was reportedly based on the show's low ratings.
After the cancellation reports, many fans emerged online to show support for the show's renewal if 'The Following' has performed poor. Thus, it might be suitable for the show to find a new home from online streaming services like Hulu because of its numerous online supporters. In fact, that's what fans were previously expecting. But, the network already said their side. And Hulu already shook its head to signify their "no", as what Youth Health Mag reported.
We knew that 'The Following' Season 3 has left many unanswered issues. Even Entertainment Focus wrote some reasons why Season 4 renewal should be pursued, these include: Ryan's pursuit of Eliza, Ryan and Joe's relationship, Theo: dead or alive; Max and Mike discovery that Ryan is alive, Claire's possible comeback, and many more.
If that is the case, any other network that will generously pick up 'The Following' Season 4 can benefit for its great storyline. Many fans are now thinking of Netflix. This idea is not impossible to think too, VCPost reported previously.
Like what the network did to 'Longmire' Season 4, they can creatively boot the storyline or stick to the things that already drafted. With Netflix, each episode will be longer, which is appropriate just for this show. While these things are just expectations, the decision will be given by the Netflix, of course. But for now, the network has not announced any confirmation or rejection for 'The Following' Season 4.
