'Iron Man 4' not Happening? Marvel Cinematic Universe busy on other Avengers Films, Cancellation Conclusive?

By

Neither Marvel nor Robert Downey Jr. confirms the making of 'Iron Man 4.' Marvel is now busy with its Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and 'Iron Man 4' might not fit in the time schedule of those movies that are now being developed.

Though there is no confirmation about the fourth installment of the 'Iron Man' franchise, Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. will still be seen in the upcoming Marvel movies such as the opponent of Chris Evans in 'Captain America: Civil War,' and he will also appear again in the 'Avengers: Infinity War Part 1' and 'Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.'

Marvel has a number lined up films until 2019 that it would be impossible for 'Iron Man 4' to fit in the timetable. Also, according to Master Herald, Marvel does not want to 'over-saturate' the fans of loading Iron Man's character as it appears in some Marvel movie almost every year.

Regarding Robert Downey Jr.'s career as Iron Man and his other projects, he spoke just recently about it. "The clues are in Ultron about where we might find him next. But what would it take for Tony to completely turn around everything he's stood for, quote-unquote, because he was the right-wing guy who could still do his own thing. When the first Iron Man came out the liberals and conservatives were both like, 'You're our guy'. Yes! Score! But the idea of Tony being able to march into Washington and say, 'I'll sign up', wouldn't have made sense if the political climate in the real world hadn't shifted the way it has,' Robert said.

On the other hand, writer Brian Michael and artist David Marquez are the new creative team for the ongoing series of 'Invincible Iron Man' as per announcement of Marvel Comics where Tony Stark is still the guy.
