Duggar Sisters: Josh Begs Forgiveness, Works To Reestablish Trust

By

The controversial molestation scandal involving the"19 Kids and Counting" star Josh Duggar has been the talk of the town for a while now. After weeks of receiving violent retorts, two of her sisters -Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald - who identified themselves as two of their brother's victims, revealed that Josh already begged forgiveness and swore to reestablish trust among his sisters.

Jill Duggar -Dillard, 24, and Jessa -Duggar Seewald, 22, are only two of the five victims of Josh's molestation history who happened during his teenage years way back on 2002 and 2003. According to Baptist Press, the 27-year-old reality star's sisters have admitted that their brother has already pleaded to be forgiven.

"When Josh asked us to forgive him, we had to make that choice that I think everyone has to make," Dillard said. According to her, their father advised them to give their brother a chance to rebuild what was destroyed because of the reprehensible act. "You know Josh destroyed that trust at the beginning, and so he had to rebuild that. ... When he asked us to forgive him that was the point of rebuilding," she added.

Despite the detrimental experience the sisters have undergone during their childhood years, they still insisted to clarify some of the things which according them the tabloids had distorted.

"I think in the case of what Josh did, it was very wrong. I'm not going to justify anything that he did or say it was OK. [It was] not permissible," Seewald who is expecting her first child with husband Benjamin, said. According to Inquisitr, she described Josh as "young and curious about girls" which got him into trouble. She also defended her brother claiming that the extent of his actions were just mild as the inappropriate touching was done in fully-clothed victims.

The sisters also expressed their dejections brought about the distorted information which they find more hurtful than the touching itself. "It's not the truth first of all, everything was distorted. The victims are the only ones who can speak for themselves", Dillard explained. "I see it as a victimization that's even a thousand times worse, because this was something that was already dealt with. We've already forgiven Josh. We've already moved on."

As for their parents, according to Reality TV Magazine, Jim and Bob have established safety measures after finding out Josh's case which was acknowledged by the sisters.

While TLC has already pulled all the episodes of the family reality show "19 Kids and Counting", Jill and Jessa are focused on moving on into their individual lives.
