The stars of the "Gilmore Girls" reunited during the ATX Festival held recently and the fan-favorite stars talked about the best boyfriend of Rory, honored Edward Hermann, and many more. The panel was hosted by Jessica Shaw of Entertainment Weekly Morning.
The reunion of the "Gilmore Girls" included Amy Sherman-Palladino and the stars Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop, and Alexis Bledel as reported by Entertainment Weekly. The stars talked about the possibility of a "Gilmore Girls" movie but fans are not to be treated regarding this anytime soon. Sherman-Palladino also talked about the different projects she is handling as of the moment and these are not related to "Gilmore Girls" at all.
The show ended back in 2006 after seven seasons due to a dispute between creator Sherman-Palladino and the network where the show was aired. A lot of the fans of the show felt like the last and final season was very disappointing that is why the mini-reunion during the ATX Festival was a buzz amongst the enthusiasts of the show as reported by Washington Post.
The fan base of the show is really wide and the panel has brought in around 15 cast members. The panel lasted for two hours. According to the show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show might not be as successful as it was before if it was shown today. She shared that she felt as if "Gilmore Girls" won't sell today, Time reports.
"Gilmore Girls" is about the story of a mother-daughter duo who were best friends instead of the typical parent-child relationship. People loved it as the dialogues were fast and have a lot of pop culture references.
During the panel, one of the best questions answered by the cast and creators of "Gilmore Girls" was about Rory and the best boyfriend she had on the show. According to them, the best boyfriend of Rory is Dean, who was played by Jared Padalecki.
There won't be a "Gilmore Girls" movie as of now as there has been no updates regarding this during the panel reunion held at the ATX Festival.
