Re-Logic's 'Terraria' Is Finally Coming to Wii U and PS4, Release Dates Yet To Be Announced

On June 8, 2015, it was announced via Re-Logic's creative director that the highly anticipated game "Terraria" will finally be coming to both the Wii U and 3DS. "Terraria" has been making its rounds in the internet lately, with some gamers praising its features and overall content. "Terraria" has already been released in a number consoles but still, fans are excited for the game's arrival on the Wii U and 3DS.

According to Whitney "Cenx" Braid, "Terraria" is indeed coming to Wii U and 3DS. The lead developer posted the announcement on the game's official forum. "Terraria" is a 2D sandbox game that can be classified somewhere between Minecraft and Metroid in terms of gameplay. It features vibrant pixel art, exploration, quests, crafting and randomly generated 2D worlds.

From IGN's recent reviews, it can be seen how the content and high replay-value of "Terraria" was commended. Some actually even said that Terraria is a much better game than Minecraft, which was a major influence for "Terraria." What is additionally exciting is that recently, a page for Terraria was seen on retailer Gamefly's site. Of couse, the service has it listed on both Wii U and 3DS on October 31, but that seems like a placeholder date. The official release date has not been announced yet.

Earlier this year, Re-Logic and Engine Software announced that "Terraria: Offworld," which branched out from the original one. This version is set in an alternate dimension and features a darker, sort of science-fiction atmosphere, departing from the brightness of the original game.

"Terraria" has already been released on countless consoles or platforms such as the PC, PS3, PSN, Xbox 360, XBLA, PS Vita, Windows Phone, Amazon, iOS, PS4, Xbox One, and Kindle Fire. Still, the "Terraria" 3DS and Wii U experience is definitely something to highly anticipate.
