"Destiny" is now getting a third expansion pack titled "The Taken King." Activision gave a clue that "Destiny" would indeed have a third expansion plan in the form of a "major content release." A recent leak has revealed quite a lot regarding the new expansion, and more details are expected to be unveiled during the up and coming E3. The game's developer, Bungie, applied for a trademark for "The Taken King" last May.
"The Taken King," the third expansion pack of "Destiny" is about to arrive. The new installment picks up where the previous one, "House of Wolves" had left off. Basing from the advertisements for "The Taken King," it was unveiled that the players will be engaging in a battle against Oryx, Crota's father. The Taken King will have a raid pitting players against Oryx, father of Crota, who is apparently looking for revenge and who is also leading a new army called the Taken. Crota, was the enemy raid boss in the game's first expansion pack.
Recently, an informant revealed a large marketing sheet for "The Taken King," to Kotaku. The sheet contained information and other details about the third expansion pack. It listed "The Taken King" at $40 and revealed that the new expansion pack will be featuring a new subclass for each of the game's current classes, along with a new raid. There will be the Void for Hunter, Solar for Titan and the Arc for Warlock who will receive a bow, hammer and powers similar to Force Lighting, respectively.
Additionally "The Taken King" will also present some new PvP maps and new Strikes. According to rumors, "The Taken King" might also feature new environments. Bungie has not reacted upon the matter but the developer is definitely expected to say something during E3 2015.
The third expansion pack, "The Taken King" is highly anticipated and will be out on September 15, 2015.
