“Mega Man Legacy Collection Remastered” PS4, PC, XBox One: Iconic Game Returns This Summer; Deliver 6 Games And New Content Yet in Few Consoles?

Capcom has finally announced the return of Mega Man Legacy Collection Remastered this summer. The publisher says that this is the first six Mega Man games with new content.

The Polygon reported that the Mega Man Legacy Collection will be available in 3 game consoles only: PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One for $14.99. But the digital Nintendo 3DS will be released some time in winter this year.

So what can the fans expect in this new Mega man? Based from the press released of Digital Eclipse software, the studio has used its new Eclipse Engine "to rebuild the original games from its source element." Capcom confirmed that Frank Cifaldi, Digital Eclipse's head of restoration, did the finest job in making the Mega Man Legacy Collection to a Criterion Collection reissue, which was the first for a video game. According to Cifaldi in the Capcom blog post that "We're living in the golden age of a brand new form of artistic expression, the more we can do right now to take video game preservation seriously, the safer our history will be."

CinemaBlend said in its publication of Mega Man Legacy Collection that aside from the enhanced graphics of this Blue Bomber game, it also shows off the "brand new challenge mode, leaderboards, and replays."
