Matt Damon seeks help 140 million miles away in latest movie "The Martian"; Trailer released

By

The hottest science fiction movie to be released soon is The Martian, and the hype is exceeding as its first trailer has been released yesterday. If you are a fan of science fiction, or movies about being stranded in a planet (Interstellar, for one), or Ridley Scott, then this movie is for you.

The movie follows the bestselling novel of Andy Weir "The Martian". It's about Astronaut Mark Watney, played by Matt Damon, who got stranded on Mars after being hit on a sandstorm, waking up later on finding himself alone and his fellowmen leaving the planet. While being presumed dead, he'll find a way for his own to survive until help comes from 140 million miles away.

Ridley Scott will direct the movie. Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain, both seen on Interstellar, will be starring, along Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig, Mackenzie Davis and Sean Bean. It is set to release on Novermber 15 this year.

The essence of the movie is basically just surviving Mars with Matt Damon. While being stranded completely alone, Damon must find a way to grow out food, which is impossible on Mars. And it's pretty clear that the movie stayed true to the book, as character Mark Watney seems to be ridiculous like the Watney we've seen on the book. His most famous lines were "I'm going to science the shit out of this," and "In your face, Neil Armstrong."

The movie trailer has been released yesterday and it looks promising than ever. The trip to Hermes was also revealed and it's all that we could ask for until the movie comes out. The trailer shows glimpses of some of the many problems Watney encounters along the way as the movie comes along.

The writer of the novel, Andy Weir, first published his book for free on his own site as a blog for fun. Then he put it on a downloadable form, then he put it on Amazon for Kindle download which he did at the then minimum price of $0.99. He also showed the 8 tips to survive in Mars.

It's undeniable that The Martian will come out great, just like Interstellar. What are your thoughts about the movie?
