Jaden Smith Joins Baz Luhrmann's in 'The Get Down' Netflix Show; Series To Be Released This Year, Smith Learning Skill Set From Lady Pink

Jaden Smith returned in his upcoming advent in Baz Luhrmann's Netflix drama series, The Get Down. Other stars include Justice Smith, Tremaine Brown Jr and Shameik Moore. Needless to say, Jaden is one of the huge star in the series.

The tale of teens from the South Bronx growing up in a seamy, deteriorated 1970s New York City thrilling up disruption as the hip-hop and punk music scores was just starting. Baz Luhrmann says on Deadline, "We as an audience have known Jaden since he was very young," Jaden is now working on the series, he will star as Marcus "Dizzee" Kipling, 18, a graffiti writer. "He has begun developing his The Get Down skill set, even taking lessons from the legendary graffiti artist Lady Pink of 'Wild Style' fame, as well as steeping himself in the history and culture of the Bronx," Luhrmann added.

Billboard spotted Smith with the other cast; Shameik Moore, Jimmy Smits, Skylan Brooks, Justice Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Mamoudou Athie.and Tremaine Brown Jr.

The Get Down will set on busted, packed down and cruel 1970s New York. Dispatch to wreckage, a group of South Bronx insignificant teens without home equipped only with vocal playoffs, offhand dance steps, magic markers and spray cans. From Bronx apartment houses, to the SoHo art vista; from CBGBs to Studio 54 by the same token, with the newly-built World Trade Center, The Get Down is a legendary history of how New York at the edge of impoverishment toiled to hip-hop, punk and bash acquaint in the course of their lives and South Bronx kids' music who altered the city and the humanity evermore.

According to The Wrap, the preliminary two episodes and the season finale will be directed by Luhrmann. He will also be the executive producer along with Catherine Martin, Paul Watters, Thomas Kelly, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Shawn Ryan and Marney Hochman. The music steered drama series will debut its 13 episodes from Sony Pictures Television. Check it out on Netflix this year.

Netflix has had a pretty fine record with appealing creative programs and attributing Baz Luhrmann is positively a fascinating attempt. As for Jaden, his acting skills will be put up to the test in the small screens.
