"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will feature Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, as he becomes the first ever athlete to appear in the Call of Duty franchise. The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will officially be released on November 6 on PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One, and it will also soon be launched for PS3 and Xbox 360.
ESPN The Magazine is releasing a special double-issue this month of June that will be merging the athletes and video games. Seattle Seahawks superstar and self-proclaimed "Call of Duty fan" Marshawn Lynch will be featured on the cover of the magazine's first-ever video game issue.
Marshawn Lynch will be an in-game character in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3."The Seattle Seahawks athlete recently paid a visit to Activision's motion capture studio for facial scanning and performance capture. Afterwards, Marshawn Lynch tried on a motion-capture suit to record a scene.
Lynch said in his magazine interview, "You're shooting up everything but always fighting for a bigger picture," pertaining to his impression of the video game. "The whole game is Beast Mode." Despite the scarcity of details regarding the story line, Marshawn's "Beast Mode" character will function in the plot as a villain or a bad guy.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," presents a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines between our own humanity and the technology become confused. In this world, cutting-edge military robotics define warfare.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" merges unique game modes which are known as Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies to provide fans with the ultimate Call of Duty experience ever. The Campaign mode was designed as a co-op game that can be played with up to 4 players online or as a solo cinematic thrill-ride. The Multiplayer mode is expected to be the most engaging so far, with new ways to customize and gear up for battle. Last but not the least, Zombies mode delivers an all-new mind-blowing experience with its own dedicated narrative.
"Call od Duty: Black Ops 3" will be hitting the shelves on November 6. Marshawn Lynch and his video game look-alike will grace the cover of ESPN The Magazine on the 22nd of June.
