'Suicide Squad' film logo unveiled; Film merchandise to suit only for adult audience

By

Earlier this week Warner Bros. has finally revealed the logo of their upcoming movie Suicide Squad, and fans are absolutely pleased!

During the Licensing Expo 2015 held in Las Vegas, Warner Bros. has unveiled their array of movie posters including the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batmobile, and the costumes of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman for the first time in public.

More so, the logo of the Suicide Squad was among the display. Collider spotted the logo for David Ayer's upcoming movie, and it's no denial that it stayed true to the original comic book. It's very similar to David Aja's original "Suicide Squad" logo.

DC Comics commissioned David Aja to design their 2011 "Suicide Squad" comic book series' logo. The series and logo lasted for 30 issues, before DC revamped both in 2014 with "New Suicide Squad".

This means that the movie shall stay true to the comics then.

Meanwhile, the merchandises for the movie is said to be suited only for adults, unlike Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. On a press release they said:

"As the power of Warner Bros. Pictures' and DC Entertainment's film portfolio shows its strength, WBCP will also offer a targeted licensing and merchandising program focusing on collectors and adult fans in support of Suicide Squad, the first film to feature many of DC Comics' iconic Super-Villains as a team, including Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Boomerang, Katana and The Joker, as the second theatrical release from the Studio's DC Comics film slate rolls out."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice includes a line of "a wide range toy line, including action figures, role-play, playsets and collectible figures, highlighted by the fan-favorite Movie Masters line." More so, there will also be a release of the LEGO Group toys, role-play items from Thinkway Toys, apparel and accessories from Junkfood and Bioworld, and footwear from Converse, all inspired by Batman v Superman.

While the hype on the peak for the Suicide Squad movie, we shall wait until August 2016 to see if the movie really did stay true to the comic books.
