Ron Perlman asks fans help to push Hellboy 3; fans respond positively

Hellboy's Ron Perlman is asking for fans' petition for the movie's Part 3 to push through. Thousands of fans have responded well to the actor on Twitter.

Ron Perlman, who plays Hellboy in the said movie, posted on Twitter last week asking for support from followers if they also wanted a Chapter 3 of the supposed trilogy.

"Anybody out there wanna see #HellboyIII as much as I do? Let's get this muthaf_cka trending, y'all! Let's end the trilogy; we earned it!", he said.

The post was retweeted by more than 20,000 followers and "favorited" more than 15,000 times as of posting. Even actress Selma Blaire vouched in. One said the trilogy should not end, adding that there should even be Parts 4 and so on. After receiving a massive support, Perlman admitted he did not know what would be the outcome of their petition but he thanked fans for their support and added that he will continue fighting for the movie.

"This #HellboyIII thing, I don't know what (sic) gonna happen but it sure has been beautiful seeing y'all step up these past days. Count on this..," he tweeted on Sunday.

Blasting News reports that Perlman's call for support is in relation to Universal's uncertain decision to fund about $150 million for Director Guillermo del Toro to start working on Hellboy 3. This despite that the non-DC and non-Marvel Comics movie made a success in the previous two films Hellboy in 2004 and Hellboy II: The Golden Army in 2008. Del Toro would have wanted to start on the project as soon as possible. The trilogy was already planned from the start.

Meanwhile, the first Hellboy miniature statue has been made for fans who love collecting memorabilia. Comics Alliance reported that the 12-inch statue was created by Mondo, a first of its kind. The toy comes in two versions.

There are no reports yet on how Hell Boy 3 could make it amid the overwhelming support of fans.
