Project CARS is one of the rare games which really wants every player to have the richest experience in their gameplay. This is made evident by the plans of Slightly Mad Studios to make their title continually updated through more DLCs to come. While some games would charge a certain price, which could get really hefty, the racing game will give it without any additional cost. This upcoming service has been named as On Demand.
A dedicated blog on PS games mentioned that this service will keep Project CARS a current game "without being locked in to a pre-paid scheme." Furthermore, On Demand will enable to title to render "continual free updates that improve and expand upon the original core game, free cars and vehicle liveries delivered at no extra charge, and additional content made available without the usual obligation to purchase a long-term season pass."
What makes this feature even more exciting is that On Demand will continue to back up Project CARS from 2015 onwards. Therefore, there is no saying when it will end - fresh content will keep on coming to keep the fun of the game alive. To date, ten community-created liveries have already been provided, in addition to the Lykan Hypersport.
The Racing Icons Car Pack has also been released a couple of days back according to the PS blog. The said DLC featured two Bentley GT as well as Prototype models, together with three GT machines from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren.
On Demand will provide a host of improvements to the game in the form of update 1.04. The upcoming tweak will improve the frame rate of Xbox One, fix the ghosting issue of PS4, as well as create more believable AI behaviour when rain happens.
Project CARS will undoubtedly excite its fans through more content on the way. In particular, the first track DLC will arrive in July. The Slightly Mad Studios game will receive 12 new locations with modern circuits, road tracks, ovals, and many more.
