With WWDC 2015 still in progress, 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' is still out of sight. Despite the claims of the Christian Times revealing that "it is not going to be a top priority" of the Cupertino- based company, Apple aficionados are still anticipating the release of the 'iPod Touch 6th Generation'.
Its predecessor, iPod Touch 5th Generation, which was released in 2012 was considered to be just 'okay' compared to its top-of-the-line forerunners. But, it was still well-received by the market since the trend that time was on MP3 media player. With other Apple flagships still on the spotlight such as the iPhone 6 Plus and MacBook Air with Retina Display, will this be the right time for the company to release its next generation iPod? And if it will be released this year, what could be its features that would definitely bring back the hype of the classic Apple device?
As September 2015 approaches, Apple is rumored to launch its 'iPod Touch 6th Generation together with its other flagships. Crossmap noted that the anticipated 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' will be available in two sizes; the 4.7 inches and the 5.5 inches. It also reported that the said device will be a fusion of the latest 'iPhones' and the previous 'iPod Touch 5th Generation' for the main reason that 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' needs to be more than just a media player; it needs to be a multi-purpose device in order to compete in the market.
Apple's next generation iPod is set to be impressive upon its speculated release thanks to its features that includes a water resistant surface, an improved Siri, a powerful A9 microprocessor, new iOS9 which includes Touch ID fingerprint sensor as reported by Master Herald.
It is also believed that it will have a 1GB RAM which may be upgraded to 128 GB via microSD card and will be available in six color designs: pink, red, blue, silver, space gray, and yellow. The 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' will have a price range of $250 to $300 depending on the variant.
