In The Good Wife Season 6 finale, we already know that Kalinda Sharma will no longer be returning for the next season. But it seems like she's not the only one who is not returning to the show for The Good Wife Season 7!
Last season, we already bid our goodbyes to Kalinda Sharma, portrayed by Archie Panjabi, and we see her lastly on a dramatic goodbye from the show. But sadly, she's not the only one who will not be coming back to the show. Matthew Goode, as Finn Polmar, is leaving as well.
This is a bit of shock because there was no clue that he would be leaving. In the last episode of season 6, Finn did not push through the plans for a partnership Alicia to start a new law firm. This is because that Finn will not be a series regular on the seventh season.
This is sad because Goode has only been promoted as a series regular on the The Good Wife Season 6. He was first introduced to us on the middle of season 5. There is a possibility the Good would guest star in an episode or two in the series, though. Unlike Panjabi who we will probably not see again in the show.
As of now, the showrunners Robert and Michelle King said that no one will replace Panjabi's role in the series as a private investigator for Lockhart, Agos and Lee. But instead, someone will just fill the holes she left. They hired British actress Cush Jumbo of Torchwood (Doctor Who spin off) to fill in on those holes!
"I wouldn't say she's replacing Archie because she's irreplaceable, but we wanted someone who could fill that same interesting dynamic on the show without doing the same thing," Rober Kind said in an interview.
"We're still figure out exactly [her role], but we're not suggesting that Cush will be an investigator or take on that role," added Michelle.
The showrunners also hinted that Robyn, portrayed by Jess Weixier, could go back with her private investigator duties. "That's definitely a possibility. We love her and [would] love to have her back,"
There are lot of things that are in store for us this season of The Good Wife Season 7. Too bad there's is still no announcement when the specific air date of the series.
The Good Wife Season 7 will be back oin CBS this year's fall.
