Mortal Kombat X and its publisher Warner Bros. are on top of its game now based on the huge demand it's been getting from the public, the same reason that made it the top software publisher of the year to date.

While the Mortal Kombat X landed on second spot now in the best selling first month unit sales within the current video game console category, NDC Group has named Warner Bros. as "the top software publisher year-to-date through May 2015." This is after the Mortal Kombat X's publisher have yield an increase of over 140 percent in dollar sales compared last year.

Part of its success can be attributed to how it has been listening to public demand. In the Kombatant Pack, which was released last month, character Jason Voorhees made an appearance due to insistent public demand. And now, Mortal Kombat X creators are reported to be bringing in Rain and Meat, along with Baraka and Sindei, in the Kombatant Pack 2 as an grant another fan request.

Such request is not surprising especially since Rain and Meat, who are originally from Mortal Kombat 9, are the most popular characters among the video game now. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon indeed said that Rain and Meat are coming soon, but later he had taken it back. Nonetheless, the $30 worth second Kombatant pack is a temptation that is hard to resist for the game developer NetherRealm, according to Master Herald.

If confirmation for these characters release is still hanging, characters Tanya, Tremor, Predator, and Jason have been otherwise set for release. Purchase can be made either individual like that of Tanya's character and by Pack like those of skins for Kano, Liu Kang, and Donya Blade that are part of Klassic Pack #2. Horror-themed skins for characters Kraken Reptile, Pharoah Ermac, and Vampiress Mileena are also available now for gamers.

Mortal Kombat X is expcted to be released for older video game consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via High Voltage Software. Currently it is released for Play Station 4, Xbox One, and PCs as the tenth series of the video game that has been well receive for its graphics, characters, and storyline.
