“Foo Fighters Dave Grohl Updates”: Broke His Leg During Sweden Concert; Might be The End Of His Career?

By

Lead singer of Foo Fighters Dave Grohl broke his right leg when he nose-dived off stage in the middle of his performance at the Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg ,Sweden. Despite the accident, he still finished the concert.

ETOnline reported that while singing the second song, Dave Grohl took "an ill-advised stage dive" then came back on stage lame. After finishing the song, he admitted that he broke his leg. Crowd fell silent when he declared what happened to his leg and apologized to them. He promised to come back to the concert and would finish the show.

Grohl said, "I'm gonna go to the hospital and I'm gonna fix my leg. But then I'm gonna come back and we're gonna play for you again!" He kept on saying "sorry" quite a few times while the standby emergency medical team brought him out of the stage.

Some fans upload videos and photos of the accident captioning it with praise "for powering through the injury."

CBSNews said that while the Foo Fighters frontman was brought to the hospital to have his leg fixed, the rest of the band continued playing for the fans. Then at a later time the former nirvana drummer was taken back to the stage on a stretcher. He continued playing for the fans even if his right foot was bandaged, either sitting down bandaged foot elevated or supporting himself on crutches. He also told the audience that he would never leave them if not ordered by the doctor to do so.

At a later time, the Foo Fighters shared in their twitter account an xray photo of Grohl's fractured leg.

Would that horrible injury mean the end of the Foo Fighters singing career? According to Inquisitr, the frontman said that ""I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play guitar and scream" during the accident in Sweden, it is simply an implication that Foo Fighters will still continue to rock and sing for their fans.

It is also reported that the band has a scheduled tour in Netherlands on June 14. Dave Grohl and his band are also scheduled to come back in Sweden sometime this month and have calendared a concert tour in UK and Belgium this June also. Another gig is set for them in July at RFK in Washington D.C., which marks the beginning of their US and Canada tour.
