Sir Christopher Lee dies at age 93. June 7, 2015 is the confirmed date when the Lord of The Rings actor has died in London after being hospitalized for respiratory problems and heart failure. A lot of actors and co-worker mourn and paid a tribute for the compelling contribution of Sir Christopher Lee to the film industry.

The actor who has made its name as Dracula, a Bond villain and starred in Lord of the Rings and Star Wars already bid goodbye at an old age. According to BBC, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson called Sir Christopher Lee a "scholar, a singer, an extraordinary raconteur and of course, marvellous actor." He also mentioned that he is fortunate and luck enough to have gotten to work with the actor when he was still alive - and a part of all the achievements and remarkable role he had played.

Independent.co.uk relayed how Sir Christopher Lee defiantly did his own stunts during the filming of the critically acclaimed Star Wars in the year 2002 and 2008. Ian McKellen, the iconic actor's co-star in the movie Lord of the Rings paid a warm tribute of all the works of Sir Christopher Lee; they have appeared together in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit several times depicting force for good.

Sir Christopher Lee's wife, a former Danish model, Birgit Kroencke, have decided to hold back the news for a few days to pay tribute to his late husband personally. According to The Guardian, the couple had been married for more than 50 years and had one daughter, Christina. The iconic actor was born in the year 1922 and began his film career in 1947; first to land a role in the gothic romance Corridor of Mirrors.

The rest might be history but nonetheless his legacy lives on. He will always be remembered with all the films he made, with all the iconic roles he took and all of his contribution to the film industry. Sir Christopher Lee will truly be missed.
