Lance Armstrong ignored in his own Hometown, the disgraced athlete thinks himself as Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter series

Lance Armstrong has been deliberately ostracized by his fellowmen. Lance Armstrong becomes an unspeakable name in the US households, especially in his hometown after he disgraced himself. He thinks that he is being treated like the villain of Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort.

The Australian reported that since the fall of Lance Armstrong, he is often interviewed by UK correspondents than by his compatriots. It is not a secret that Armstrong is getting the treatment of public irrelevance. It is understandable that when the truth comes out, along with its appalling and scandalous details, media from other countries may feel annoyed and provoked but Americans definitely feel betrayed.

His fame has been drawn back from the public eye. Most are no longer interested with him, perhaps a few from the other side of the world. What people heard from his confession were actually things they already believed. Thus, Armstrong doesn't get the warm attention from his people. They couldn't forget "the bullying, the character assassinations, the perjuries, [and] the indifference to those whose lives he tried to ruin." Everyone, including media people, feels the outrage yet there is this vague fascination that other media have for Armstrong, so they still like to interview him despite the scandal.

The Washington Post said that Armstrong disliked being treated like Lord Voldemort. Though many would say that it was him who casted himself as the unspeakable malevolent of Harry Potter. In his interview with The Telegraph he said, "I'm that guy everybody wants to pretend never lived." Then he went describing and analogizing what's happening with him akin to the role of Voldemort in which people can't talk about him. However, there is a big difference between "can't" and "don't". And looking at the scenario, people rather do not want to speak his name. As observed, Lance hasn't really showed himself as a changed man after his admission of doping scandal in 2013.

Christianity Daily said that Armstrong believed that it isn't fair for people to judge him as a "cycling's pariah". He also said that things will change sooner or later because it can't stay like that forever. He meant being treated like the archenemy of Harry Potter.

Lance Armstrong story as a former professional cyclist and someone who "disgraced because of his improper use of performance-enhancing drug" will be told in the upcoming movie entitled "The Program". He will also participate the Tour Route next month in France. Those are just the two events that people (to those who do) could expect from him.
