A new promotional video was released for the much-awaited "The Leftovers" Season 2 and it is a totally different setup as the location of the video was shot in Jarden, Texas. The first season's location was in Mapleton, New York so fans are expecting a lot of changes for the upcoming season of the HBO show.
The teaser trailer for "The Leftovers" did not explain how two percent of the world's population disappeared as it just featured a long line of cars stuck in a deserted highway, IBTimes reported. However, it has been reported that not a lot of the characters from season 1 will be coming back but new and fresh faces will be introduced.
The reason why people were lining up to get to Jarden, Texas was because it never had any departure, Time reported. In the trailer, no familiar faces were seen as the nearly one-minute-long clip focused on the long queue of cars trying to get into the city. The location might have been spared from the "Sudden Departures" that the show's main focus is about.
One of the characters confirmed to come back for season two is Kevin Garvey, played by Jennifer Aniston's fiancé Justin Theroux, and his family. Amy Brenneman's Laurie Garvey will also be seen in the second season of the HBO show as well as the roles of Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, Christopher Eccleston and Chris Zylka.
New actors that will be in season 2 are Kevin Carroll, who will be playing the role of John Murphey and the husband of a character named Erika. He will be the new neighbor of Garvey and is the head of the volunteer fire department. Regina King will also be in the upcoming season as Erika, the wife of Carroll, and is a doctor who will be running the care center of the town. Jovan Adepo is also an additional character to the cast of "The Leftovers" and will be the teenage son of Erika and John.
"The Leftovers" will be back this fall but no official release date has been announced yet.
